Discussion Question 150 Words Minimum At Least 1 Reference Citations Apa Style 19584303

Suppose that you have collected data throughout a semester from a large elementary school regarding the number of days per week each math teacher spends in a collaborative teaching community. The average ranges from 0 to 7 days per week. You have also obtained the pre-test and post-test scores in math administered in those same classrooms in the beginning and end of the semester, and you have calculated a score that shows learning during the semester by subtracting the pre-test score from the post-test score for each student.

You are interested in examining any potential differences in student learning (i.e., post-test minus pre-test) that may be due to the number of days of teacher participation in a collaborative community. What are the independent and dependent variables? How can you best handle the data so that you can perform group comparisons to examine the potential effect of the IV on the DV?  Why is this technique the best for handling the data?

We have conflict all around us. Refer to the concepts in Looking Out Looking In (LOLI) and Becoming a Critical Thinker (BCT).  For this assignment, you will take the social issue you wrote about last week and turn it into an 11 slide PowerPoint Presentation.

·  For this presentation, you will select one slide design in PowerPoint that you like.

·  Use only the fonts, font sizes, colors, and background/background color provided in that template.  Let Microsoft be your slide designer!

·  Each slide should have 6-8 bullet points of text used to describe each of the concepts you wrote about above.  There should be no long paragraphs of text copied and pasted on the slides.

·  Notes need to be included with each slide. This will help to communicate an understanding of the context shared.

·  Limit images to the cover page.  It would make sense to use an image on the cover page. That would be fine.

·  Remember, the task here is to provide an informational summary of your paper in the form of a presentation.

·  The last slide should list References. In-text citations and References should always be included in your PowerPoint.

Discussion Language Acquisition And Symbol Weavingconflicting Or Complementing Views

Families everywhere get excited when their baby begins to talk. As you read in your texts, infants’ verbal communication skills become increasingly complex in the short span of only a couple of years. “Da-da” or “ma-ma” soon becomes “daddy” or “mommy,” and approximately at the end of the second year, young children communicate in short sentences.

This week, you also learned that scientists have developed a number of different theories about how (and for what purpose) children learn to speak. Two seemingly contrasting proposals emerge from these theories: When it comes to language, infants teach themselves, and they do this primarily so they can make sense of the world around them. From this point of view, language acquisition is primarily a cognitive task. Infants learn the language as a creative, emotional, and interactive endeavor through social interaction with peers, and primarily for the purpose of social interaction.

As you review the readings for this week, focus and reflect on the following questions: In which ways do child development theorists explain the process of language acquisition? In what ways do these theories differ from each other? What is the difference between defining language learning as “language acquisition” and defining it as “symbol-using and symbol weaving”? What does each of these theories imply about the role of the young child in the acquisition of language? By Day 3

Post your response to the following scenario:

One of your friends is expecting her first child. She is part of a small group of first-time parents who are eager to learn all they can about child development. Knowing that you are currently enrolled in a child development course, your friend asks you to provide the group with information about language development.

Considering all that you read this week about children and language development: Which theory or combination of theories would you use for your presentation, and why? Which position or combination of positions about the goals of language learning and use would you incorporate, and why?

Be sure to support your response with specific references to and/or examples from the readings.

Discussion Evidence Based Practices How Do You Know They Are Working

For this Discussion, you demonstrate the importance of collecting valid and reliable data when implementing strategies to ensure that students are succeeding and that appropriate modifications are being made to instruction to optimize student growth.

To prepare:

· Review the module’s Learning Resources. Reflect on the process of implementing evidence-based practices with fidelity.

· Review evidence-based interventions shared and stored in the toolkit for each topic addressed throughout the course.

· Research data-collection tools that align with the evidence-based practices you have identified in this course. Reflect on the tools you have used to track whether a new strategy is effective or not. Think about what needs to occur for educators to implement an evidence-based practice with fidelity.

A new teacher has started in the classroom next to yours. You notice at your team meetings that he brings many ideas for new strategies that he learned through his recent college program. He is often encouraging the team to try to implement new strategies, but never discusses how to track or monitor the strategies. During your time working with him, you have not seen him consistently use instructional delivery methods that include data-collection tools or progress-monitoring strategies.

What you would present to the team addressing the following topics:

· Discuss practices to implement evidence-based strategies with fidelity.

· Provide recommendations for progress-monitoring tools to collect data on evidence-based strategies.

· Explain the importance of modifying the strategy based on the data: What do you do if the strategy is not working? What do you do to keep the student moving forward if the strategy is working?

In addition, write a response sharing one evidence-based practice you have implemented with students. Explain where you learned about the strategy, how you implemented it with fidelity, and how you modified your practice based on the data. Please provide resources of websites, books, or apps and/or attach your own documents that you use to collect valid and reliable data. Learning Resources

Cyber Law And Policy

Choose either Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA), the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), or the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. In a 3 to 4 page paper (Not including title and reference pages) describe the Act you chose. Provide details behind why the Act was created and any legal cases that either led to the Act being created or that used the Act for prosecution or defense in a case. Use 2 to 3 separate sources and make sure you cite those sources according to APA format.

Discussion 4 Grad School Apa Format

Religion and Schools” Please respond to the following: Religion is a contentious subject in the field of education. Many educators do not fully understand laws pertaining to what can and cannot occur in a school setting pertaining to religion. Using the First Amendment Schools site located here, research and discuss how one piece of legislation about religion in school impacts modern school cultures. Be sure to support your information with research.

2 Discussion Questions Organizational Behavior

1-What are some of the barriers to effective classroom communication? How do communication technologies affect behavior?

2- List some of the symbols of power found in many business organizations? Define what those symbols stand for and their impact on the organization.

Edu 555 Week 5 Discussion

Please respond to the following: From the discussion preparation, consider the needs of all learners in the school district where you work or one with which you are familiar. Identify barriers in existing curricula, and examine whether universal design guidelines would enhance student representation, engagement, and/or expression.

Art Final Powerpoint

   Final PowerPoint Project
Objective: The Final PowerPoint Project is designed to:
Provide an opportunity to further explore a personality theory, theorist, or test that they find especially interesting. Provide reinforcement and elaboration of textual material related to this personality theory, theorist, or test. Provide an opportunity to review other research and findings of personality theory, theorist, or test. Extend critical thinking, quantitative, and communication skills.        Final PowerPoint Project Guidelines
Create a Final PowerPoint project from researching more about personality theory, theorist, or test identified in the textbook. The PowerPoint project should be a minimum of 15 slides in length  (1 title slide, 13 information/content slides, and 1 References slide). Use quotation marks when quoting and cite appropriately when  quoting or paraphrasing. APA 6th ed. writing style should be used when  citing references in context. 2 references (minimum) in addition to your textbook are to be  used, therefore, a minimum total of 3 references. For the references  slide, APA 6th Ed. writing style should also be used. This rubric  is provided and will serve as a guide for designing the project and for  grading purposes. The maximum total of points available for this  project is 200 points.
